Landscape Designer & Horticulturalist

Hugo is a designer and horticulturalist with particular responsibility for the Studio’s fine horticultural practice.  His engagement with landscape can be traced to a childhood spent on a largely self-sufficient family small-holding in rural North Wales.  The Welsh landscape formed in Hugo a sensitive connection with the land and with nature, that today he explores through his work for the Studio. 

Hugo's former experience in theatre design enables him to understand the landscape and garden as ‘stages’ on which lives are played out in response to the opportunities presented there.
