In the landscape and garden everything carries a colour; sometimes that colour is green. In this garden colour stimulates pleasure. The colour of everything from garden architecture to planting design, is strategically selected and actively choreographed. The colour of new shoots, flowers, berries, leaves, bark and thorns contribute to a mutable palette changing in different areas of the garden, and at different times of year.
Periods of meditative colour-quiet are planned to maximize the impact of subsequent high-vibrancy. It is an orchestration that requires sensitivity; when does visual stimulation need to be followed by contemplative calm? In this regard the Studio is unusual in having its horticultural expertise supported by Thadian's experience as a painter and colourist.
